New art exhibition at the WMDC: Icons in music by Nick Oudshoorn

The current art exhibition by Nick Oudshoorn at the WMDC continues where the exhibition by Easton Davy ended: icons in music. In this new exhibition, Oudshoorn portrays legendary music icons through his paintings and screen printings. His work adds a new image to the myths and legends of the blues and jazz.

Winner Urban Dance Concours shines in Shanghai!

In 2007 the WMDC organized the Urban Dance Concours: outstanding and innovative talents competed with each other including Timor Steffens, Vincent Vianen (the winner) and rising star Besim Hoti. Besim travelled with the Rotterdam Dance Academy to the World Expo in Shanghai where he starred in the play Leading Edge by Ed Wubbe. At the 'Rotterdam Water City" pavilion Besim met Achmed Aboutaleb, Mayor of Rotterdam.
